NORTHCHAPEL Primary School pulled out all the stops to stage Christmas entertainments for parents, grandparents, family and friends.
Pupils from years one and two performed ‘The Christmas Toy Story’, in which toys learned about the real meaning of Christmas from the angel on top of the Christmas tree.
Meanwhile years three and four turned the clock back to ancient Egypt to tell the story of how children travelled to ancient Egypt to find out about mummification, the gods and the Pharoah.
And the older pupils in years five and six performed ‘War Game’ by Michael Foreman, a play they wrote themselves, including poetry inspired by the book, ‘War Horse’ by Michael Morpurgo.
Younger children also took part in their plays.
Children in reception shared the story of ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’ and children in Little Oaks Pre-school shared the story of ‘Ralph the Reindeer’.
Parents were also invited to the school Christingle carol service at St Michaels’ Church, with a theme of ‘peace.’
