TODDLERS at Haslemere’s Toad Hall Nursery moving onto ‘big school,’ in September, are getting special help to make it a smooth transition for the first year at Infants school.

“The children can take our ‘Ready Steady...School‘ book bags home and their parents will have access to phonics and early reading, writing and maths activities and resources,” said assistant manager Michelle Barnes said.

“We have made essential links with many of our local schools and encouraged visits from school staff to support the transition,” Michelle told The Herald.
