OLYMPIC cyclist Dani Rowe (nee King) paid a visit to Year 8 students at Weydon School.

Dani is a three-time world champion and Olympic gold medallist in the women’s team pursuit, winning her gold medal on Super Saturday at the 2012 London Olympics.

She told students about her career progression, explaining how she had overcome rejection and serious injuries several times to reach the top.

Dani also spoke about her training regime and the “marginal gains” that British cycling had employed to ensure their athletes enjoyed a period of great success, before answering numerous questions from students.
