PARENTS, staff and local residents were treated to a show-stopping production of Guys & Dolls last week at Lord Wandsworth College. The musical, based in New York, tells the story of gamblers, gangsters and night-club singers with catchy tunes including Luck Be A Lady and Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat.

The cast of 44 started rehearsals back in September 2015 and they pulled together as a team to create an upbeat, colourful, romantic comedy that delighted packed audiences for three nights. The brilliant score had everyone tapping their feet and brought a welcome ray of sunshine to a grey, wet January.

Headmaster Adam Williams said: “We have some exceptionally talented pupils and staff who have worked very hard to ensure they entertained us with this unforgettable production. They did not disappoint. I am incredibly proud of them all – it takes great courage and creativity to step up on stage and deliver a masterful performance like that. We’ll be humming those tunes for weeks to come!”
