POLITICAL journalist Isabel Hardman was the guest speaker at her alma mater Godalming College for its ‘ Let’s Celebrate’ awards ceremony.

A grand total of 129 students were recognised for outstanding achievement or for effort and determination on their course, or won memorial prizes or awards for their contribution to the college or wider community.

Students and their parents enjoyed Pimm’s and canapés, while being entertained by the Godalming College Jazz Band, and performing arts students performed a dance, ‘Paradiddle’, before guests took their seats for the main event. Musical interludes, included Will Rowling on marimba and Toby Anderson on cello.

College principal Emma Young, said: “Let’s Celebrate is always a wonderful evening when we share the incredible achievements of our students.

“We wish all our students leaving us a happy and successful future.

“We hope they will look back on their time here fondly, and their experience provides them with the confidence to progress to their next step.”
