RODBOROUGH School pulled out all the stops last Friday for the grand opening of Milford Music Works headquarters on campus – a new hub both for students and the wider community.
The relocation of the accredited Yamaha Music School founded by Andy Hart and Kate Lidbetter also signals the start of a new creative collaboration and ambitious plans to make Rodborough a centre for music and the arts in South West Surrey.
Special guest at the launch was constituency MP Jeremy Hunt, who said: “I am very impressed by the quality and range of facilities available through Music Works and look forward to seeing Rodborough’s plans develop.”
Headteacher Matthew Armstrong-Harris told guests the school was keen to provide a “first rate performing arts centre” and wanted to build an auditorium for “the whole community”.
