ORPINGTON Chinese Language School’s Farnham branch held its first open day at Barfield Prep School.

Zhizhi Chen, the founder of Orpington Chinese Language School, said: “Although there are not many Chinese people in the Farnham area, we are keen to provide an opportunity to Chinese and Western families to learn the Chinese language and get exposure to the rich traditional Chinese culture of more than 5,000 years.

“We are proud and happy to have the opportunity to make our modest contribution in promoting Chinese culture here in Farnham.”

The open day gave the children the chance to interact with their future teacher, teaching assistant and classmates through fun and interactive activities.

Each child also received a themed gift bag related to their class name.

The summer term starts at the Farnham branch on Saturday, April 23.
