FIFTY-five pupils and their families from Waverley Abbey School returned last month for a special awards evening, after pupils completed the first ‘Waverley Abbey Challenge’.
Pupils started working on this scheme a year ago, having had to complete a number of challenges which included sport, essential life skills, community work, internet safety, map reading and emergency first aid, to complete the award.
The year-long challenge culminated in an expedition. Upon completion one year six pupil said: “I found the challenge built up my confidence and taught me I can do anything if I put my mind to it.”
