The Royal Senior School in Haslemere enjoyed a royal lecture from Simon Brailsford.

He provided the packed audience with an insight into his role as the Queen’s equerry.

Having served in the forces, Simon grasped the opportunity to work in the royal household – an all-consuming role but a time he recounted very fondly.

He linked his talk to a number of the school’s values – such as collaboration and initiative – and focused on the importance of collaboration in his role as equerry with other staff members.
