TWO high-flying Farnham schools have been ranked among the top 100 state primary schools in England by The Sunday Times.

South Farnham School is ranked the 30th best school in the country for key stage two (KS2) Sats results, while nearby Rowledge C of E Primary School follows in 100th place.

The list, published on Sunday, ranks schools by the aggregated proportion of year six children achieving level five in KS2 Sats for reading, writing and maths between 2013 and 2015.

South Farnham recorded scores of 56 per cent in 2013, 62 in 2014 and 64 in 2015, giving it an aggregate score of 182, while year six pupils at Rowledge scored 47 per cent in 2013, 56 in 2014 and 59 in 2015, earning an aggregate score of 162.

The country’s best school according to The Sunday Times is Fox Primary School in Notting Hill, having notched an aggregate score of 252 between 2013 and 2015.

South Farnham School, split between two sites in The Bourne and Menin Way, topped The Sunday Times’ list in both 2011 and 2012 - the latter with a maximum aggregate score of 300.
