ST Peter’s School has been awarded the Gold School Games Award in recognition of the school’s high participation in sport at all levels. The school has gained the gold standard by focusing on ensuring maximum participation in sport both within school and competitively against other schools.

Caroline Hyland, sports leader, said: “We have encouraged children to hold sports leadership roles where they are responsible for school sports in terms of running clubs, organising events, refereeing matches, contributing to a sports newsletter and maintaining inspiring sports displays.”

St Peter’s has doubled in size in recent years and this has created many new opportunities for participation in a wide range of sports.
