WEYDON School has been awarded the prestigious Prince’s Teaching Institute (PTI) Mark in recognition of its innovative approach to the English curriculum.

The PTI Mark recognises and rewards school departments that develop inspirational ideas and activities which enhance the teaching of core subject areas, regardless of their students’ backgrounds or abilities.

Weydon’s English department received the Mark in recognition of the stretch and challenge of the curriculum, the wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and the inspiring learning environment.

Weydon head John Winter said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the PTI Mark for our English curriculum area’s innovative work, and will be proud to carry the Mark on our stationery and website as evidence of our commitment to inspirational teaching.”
