FORMER pupils from St Nicholas’ School in Church Crookham returned for a special careers event.

Senior girls and their parents were given the opportunity to talk to the ‘old girls’ about their experiences and the careers paths which they have followed.

The evening provided an invaluable insight into the next stage of their education, such as university life and the world of work.

Head of careers Jan King said: “Girls have forged careers in areas as diverse as medicine, law, television, engineering, finance and veterinary medicine. Some have shown their entrepreneurial skills by starting their own businesses.

“It was most inspiring for the pupils to be able to talk to former pupils as they understand the challenges and dilemmas which they will face when they leave school, and to hear their strategies for overcoming them.”
