CHILDREN at Little Fishes Nursery School in Rowledge have been learning all about vehicles and road safety.
As part of this popular theme, the children turned pedal power into sponsorship money at the annual Pedal Push fundraising event on June 12.
The youngsters were sponsored by family and friends to pedal, scoot or push their way around a fun outdoor road course to raise funds for Childline.
Judith Parish, manager at Little Fishes Nursery School, said: “Pedal Push is our favourite fundraising event of the year.
“The children really love riding their bikes and scooters outside on a real road.
“We use it as an opportunity to teach them about road safety.
“And everyone likes that we’re raising money to help other children.”
Childline is one of the vital services provided by leading children’s charity the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).
It is a free and confidential service available to anyone under the age of 19 in the UK.
