BOSSES at Hartley Park Farm in Selborne are egg-cited by the success of its annual charity Easter eggstravaganza, which provided family fun at the business park and in the lavender fields.

The popular event saw parents and children alike try their hands at the Easter fundraising activities to raise £860, to be split between Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Rosemary Foundation of Petersfield.

In thanking all those who supported the event, Simon Butler, Manager of Hartley Business Park, said: “It is our way of giving a little bit back to the community.

“Many of our businesses sponsor the day and this year we have to thank The Lavender Fields Gift Shop, The Christmas Decorators, Martin Watts Ltd, Builders, Party Cakes, Floral Image, Hazelgrove Joinery Services, K&S Memorials, Charlton Construction Ltd, Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline, Pearsons Removals and Barn-Store.

“But we also have to thank a team of enthusiastic volunteers and youngsters, who help make the day the success it is.”

Competitions on the day included a quiz and the £50 prize was won by Joe Stedman of Alton; second prize of £20 went to Finn Brett of Alton, and third prize of £10 to Hannah Turner.

Easter egg painting winners were Nicole, 4, in the under-fives age group, Libby, 6, in the five to nine age category, and Scarlett, 9, in the over-nines age group, all winning a Scooby Doo toy and an Easter egg.
