EGGAR’S class of 2016 celebrated the end of their GCSEs in style with a sparkling Leavers’ Prom at Froyle Park Country Estate.

Froyle Park is a stunning venue set in beautiful gardens and, according to a school spokesman, the students all looked “absolutely amazing” and drew quite a crowd.

This is the first year the school has held its prom in Froyle and the whole event was “fantastic” from start to finish, the school spokesman added.

She said: “Communication between the staff at Froyle and staff at Eggar’s was superb, not to mention the support of A&W Traffic Management, who worked tirelessly to keep the traffic moving.”

Patrick Sullivan, headteacher, commented on how committed and professional the staff were, ensuring that every arrangement was planned and organised in great detail.

“Even the challenge of accommodating more than 175 students and staff, as well as many parents and family coming to watch the procession and arrival of their children was organised down to the last detail, making the whole evening a fabulous success,” he said.

He added: “The students have worked exceptionally hard this year so this was a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate with friends and staff.

“We wish them all the very best of luck in the future and look forward to seeing them again on August 25 when they collect their exam results.”
