IF you want to make an entrance at a school prom, what better way then to arrive in style in eye-catching transport?
And that was exactly what students who arrived for the Eggar’s School leavers’ prom did last Tuesday night, arriving at Froyle Park Hotel in such fabulous transport as an HGV lorry, a tractor, and an old-fashioned police car!
Despite the traditionally fun modes of transport, the girls arguably stole the show dressed in their beautiful gowns while the boys cut a dash in their tuxedos and bow ties.
Once inside the beautiful hotel, the Year 11 pupils from the Holybourne School were treated to a three-course dinner of pate, roast chicken, and chocolate brownie and ice cream, before hitting the dancefloor.
Other highlights included a ‘sweetie table’ and a fun photo booth, with staff and students alike using props to produce some hilarious shots.
Clare Daish, the history curriculum leader at Eggar’s who helped organise the prom, said it was a “huge success” and “great fun”.
