TEACHERS from Eggar's School, Alton spent an exciting half term well off the tourist beat, making friends up-country in The Gambia.
The purpose of the visit - involving six teachers and one school governor - was to strengthen the links between Eggar's and Soma School, which Hampshire County Council has adopted to support as one of its millennium projects.
