A cracking organisation has shared some Easter treats with some of Farnham’s less fortunate residents.
Easter eggs donated by the public have been dished out by Farnham Foodbank (FFB) at their Vineyard Church base in the town centre.
Many users were also given bunches of daffodils donated by Farnham Hedgehogs with FFB project manager Fiona Brooks thanking residents and the group for their generosity.
She said: “We were delighted to share a little extra joy with the community this Easter.
“Thank you so much to everyone who donated Easter eggs and to the Hedgehogs.
“For many of the individuals and families we support, small treats like these can make a big difference, bringing a sense of hope during what can be a difficult time.”
North Farnham residents also got the chance to learn about the FFB and their important work at Hale Community Centre as the Union Road organisation took part in an Easter Hunt at the Church on the Hill.
Fiona added: “It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the local community, raise awareness of the FFB’s work and be part of such a positive event.”
Donations are always welcome but the Foodbank would be especially grateful for more UHT milk and juice, while stocks of chocolates, toilet paper, jam and peanut butter could do with topping up.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference with drop-off points at Farnham Waitrose, Tesco Ridgway and local Co-op stores around the town.
