VOTERS across Waverley look set for a choice between 24 candidates in next month's county council elections.
As nominations closed yesterday (Thursday) each of the eight Waverley divisions had three candidates standing for the election on June 7.
Meanwhile, candidates hoping to stand in the general election - confirmed for June 7 by Prime Minister Tony Blair this week - have until 4 pm on May 22 to throw their hats in the ring.
South west Surrey's sitting Conservative MP Virginia Bottomley faces opposition from Liberal Democrat Simon Cordon, Labour candidate Martin Whelton and Tim Clark of the UK Independence Party.
