Elroy Blackwood, a kind supporter of charity Farnham ASSIST, combating social isolation among the town’s older residents, will be running the gruelling Race to the Kings on June 23.

Race to the Kings is a route from Arundel to Winchester along the long-distance trail of the South Downs Way. It covers a double marathon-distance of 53.2 miles, passing stunning scenery along the way.

This will be Elroy’s second Race to the Kings for Farnham ASSIST. He ran last year and managed to raise £1,562.25.

Elroy is hoping to beat his time of 15 hours. He has been training since Christmas and will be collecting money for Farnham ASSIST and would welcome support.
