FOLLOWING her successful Brave the Shave event, Michelle Norris donated a hefty cheque to her childhood school.

In an assembly at St James Primary School on October 21, she presented a cheque for £636, to contribute to the “support for children affected by cancer”.

This donation was in addition to her Macmillan fund, which has now seen more than £5,000 raised.

St James headteacher Valerie Elliot said: “We are very grateful for Michelle’s support of St James Primary School and local families who are coping with the impact of cancer.

“The money raised will help us to give affected children and their families a ‘little extra’ at a difficult time.

“Michelle is a very inspiring person who has shown the children the importance of helping others in their community.”
