A FULL-scale emergency training exercise will mean the A3 Hindhead tunnel will be closed in both directions overnight this week.

Both bores will be closed overnight, on October 29, between 9pm and 5am to allow the exercise for the tunnel operators and emergency services to test dealing with a road traffic collision and fire inside the tunnel.

A signed diversion will take motorists via the A31 and A325.
