ALDERSHOT, Farnham & District athlete Emma Pallant has been selected for the Aviva Great Britain & Northern Ireland team to compete in the Spar European Team Championships in Bergen, Norway, this weekend.
The Brunel University graduate has been a member of double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes' 'On Camp with Kelly' mentoring initiative for talented young middle-distance athletes, supported by Aviva, since 2005.
Pallant, from Farnham, makes her debut for the GB & NI senior team in the 3,000 metres, following her time of nine minutes 10.76 seconds for the distance in a mixed race at Watford last month and a personal best of 15 minutes 55.18 seconds to win the 5,000 metres at the BMC Grand Prix meeting in Manchester three weeks ago.
