ORGANISERS have warned that the clock is ticking with just eight days remaining before Hampshire's oldest carnival could be staged for the last time.
Liphook carnival committee chairman Karen Feeney has repeated her stark warning that the future of the 112-year-old event is in serious doubt.
It is threatened by the large number of fellow organisers who are standing down at the end of this year's revels.
Mrs Feeney, who wants more volunteers to join the committee as well as help out on the night, has confirmed that she will be stepping down as chairman after this year's event.
