THE daily struggle of finding a parking space could be coming to an end for hundreds of people who live around Petersfield town centre. New restrictions mean the sight of pavement parking along College Street will become a thing of the past by the end of the summer. Hampshire County Council is also pressing ahead with plans to introduce permit parking on streets surrounding in the town centre and station. The move is likely to be welcomed by residents whose streets are continually used for free parking by rail commuters and town centre workers. For full story, see this week's Petersfield Herald.
