ENERGY-saving advice was on offer to shoppers at Bordon's Forest Centre – as well as the chance to find out about East Hampshire District Council's cashback scheme.

Outside Bordon Library, on September 20, a pedal-powered smoothie maker went down a treat, with children kept amused and working hard to make their own banana milkshakes.

A tour bus was also laid on so that shoppers could visit Whitehill and Bordon residents who had saved hundreds of pounds on their energy bills, and who opened their homes to show the benefits of insulation, new boilers and solar panels.
