ST Andrew’s Church in Farnham will welcome a familiar face to its monthly Music While You Munch organ recital on March 8.

Will Nisbet is a local musician and well known at St Andrew’s where he has acted as assistant organist on many occasions.

As a school boy Will was fortunate to be given lessons by David Victor Smith at St Thomas-on-the Bourne and progressed to assist at some of the services.

In 1991 he was appointed organist at Thursley Church and moved on to become the organist for St Lawrence Church, Alton in 2014.

When available Will has accompanied St Andrew’s Choir for services and choral evensong at Guildford and Winchester Cathedrals and will be taking his St Lawrence choir to sing at Winchester Cathedral in June.

His programme on Tuesday, March 8, will include music by Buxtenhude, Vierne, Gigout and the Dorian Toccata and ‘Giant’ Fugue by Bach.

All the Music While You Munch concerts are free of charge. They start at 1.10pm and last about 45 minutes.

Refreshments available or take your own lunch. The retiring collection goes towards future concert expenses. All are welcome.
