ENTERTAINMENT planned in the town over the bank holiday weekend includes a mayor’s charity fun day on Sunday and a free family festival of sport at Woolmer Hill on Monday. The fun day takes place around the Apple Tree pub on Lion Green, from 2-8pm and includes music, children’s entertainment and a bouncy castle.

Donations can be made to the mayor’s charities Positive Action, Action Medical Research for Children, The Kaleidoscope Trust and The Haslemere Penny Ha’PennyTrust.

Families should don their trainers for the sports day from noon-4pm. The “pick-up-and-play” event offers a chance to try different Olympic sports, from athletics to volleyball and golf to cycling and hockey.
