Waverley Singers’ next concert, on Saturday, December 2 at St Lawrence's Church in Alton, portrays the mystery of Christmas.

O Magnum Mysterium will feature a mixture of ancient and modern musical treatments of the discovery of the Saviour lying in a manger, including carols performed by the Farnham Youth Choir ensemble.

The concert will be conducted by Richard Pearce and Philip Scriven will accompany on the organ. Tickets from £15 (under-18s £5) are available at waverleysingers.com

On January 13, the choir is offering a workshop for all-comers on Mozart’s incomparable Requiem at South Farnham School, led by Richard Pearce, with Jakob Rothoff on piano.
