The Farnham Herald Facebook group ‘Picture This: The Herald photo and video club’ collects the wonderful pictures of and by the people of Farnham.

Currently running a competition for a header photo, we are getting creative.

The people of Farnham are capturing their beloved town and its surrounding areas through their phone and camera lenses and sharing them with each other. The changing of the seasons, festive scenes of the high street, and the blue and greens of summer are flooding the group with colour and talent.

Here are some of the week’s highlights. What do you think?

Farnham and poppies
View of Farnham (David Grosnel)

This beautiful and distinctive picture was captured and posted by David Gosnell. The distinctive shape of St Andrews makes it undoubtedly Farham. The poppies in the foreground are reminiscent of the composition of a country painting. Does anyone fancy the challenge?

Summer in Bishops Meadows
Summer in Bishops Meadows (Dawn Roberts)

You can almost smell the freshly cut grass and feel the sun on your back through this photo by Dawn Roberts. The trees full of leaves and path well trodden but dry is the typical image of the season. With the distinctive figure of St Andrews again, it perfectly captures a summer in Farnham. In the depths of winter, it's nice to be reminded that the world has this much colour in it!

Frensham Little Pond
(Susan Hutchins )

Taken in August this year, this photo by Susan Hutchins is magical. You can almost imagine fairies springing from the heather, or at the very least imagine the amazing wildlife enjoying the flowers and shrubbery. The water in the background is perfectly still, you can feel the serene silence through the image!

Festive Farnham
Festive Farnham (Susie Lidstone)

It's not just brilliant command of the lens we have in Farnham. Susie Lidstone captures the festive magic of the season in her beautiful paintings. You can hear the crunch of the snow and the laughter of children through her vivid recreations of Farnham.

Walk to work
Walk to work (Liz Lee)

Liz Lee's walk to work looks extremely pictuesque here. The red of telephone box with the reddish bricks and leaves brings it all together so nicely! We would love to see this view in the snow... fingers crossed

For our theme this week 'Home Made Christmas' Susie also shared her homemade snowglobes with her creations.

We would love to see you on the group, and hopefully featuring in next week's 'Farnham through your eyes' round up.
