LUNCHTIME Jazz is back at the Farnham Maltings on Thursday, January 27 at 1pm.

Monthly sessions were originally led by local pianist Esmond Clements and ran for several years until the Covid lockdown in 2020.

Esmond died last year but regular collaborators Marianne Windham (double bass) and Alex Forsyth (saxophone and flute) decided to pick up the reins and continue as a trio with pianist David Kirby.

The concert will feature the trio playing a set of pieces that meant a great deal to Esmond and subsequent sessions will showcase a series of local musicians as special guests, with vocalist James Sutton on February 24 and tenor saxophonist John Wright on March 24.

Admission costs £8 on the door. Further information is available on the Farnham Maltings website at https://farnhammaltings.com/events/maltings-lunchtime-jazz
