Farnham Sinfonia is giving its Spring Concert at St Andrew’s Church in Farnham on March 23 at 7.30pm.

Conducted by Matthew Taylor and led by violinist Elizabeth Cooney, they will be performing Piano Concerto No 2 by Beethoven, Adagietto from 5th Symphony - Theme from Death in Venice by Mahler, Spring by Piazzolla, Fairy Tale (for Viola) by Schumann, Trauermusik by Hindemith and Two Romances by Beethoven.

Also performing in Farnham are Alix Vaillot-Szwarc, a French violinist who studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School before being awarded a place at the Royal College of Music where she studies with Itzhak Rashkovsky; Jemimah Quirke, a viola player who studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Elliot Perks and Boris Kurcharsky; violinist Anna Zilberbord, who studies with Robin Wilson at the Yehudi Menuhin School; and British Romanian pianist Florian Mitrea, described by Martha Agerich as “an outstanding young pianist”.

There will be a complimentary glass of wine or juice for every member of the audience and free parking in the Central Car Park. Free tickets can be booked at www.farnhamsinfonia.org.uk There will be a retiring collection, with a suggested contribution of £20 per person, but under-18s and students are exempt from this.
