Enjoy the music of Van Morrison!

The Van Morrison Alumni Band iscoming to G Live in Guildford on November 27 at 8pm.

Expect to hear hits from his archive of 44 studio albums, including Brown Eyed Girl, Moondance, Days Like This and Into The Mystic. The Van Morrison Alumni Band feature musicians who between them played 1,400 concerts with Van Morrison and amassed more than 500 recording credits on the singer’s albums, dating back several decades over a period of transition when he was making some of his most successful and loved records. Led by saxophonist Leo Green, who played on seven Van Morrison albums, the band also includes Matt Holland (trumpet), Alec Dankworth (bass), Robin Aspland (piano) and Ralph Salmins (drums), and will be joined by Al Cherry (guitar), Vanessa Haynes (vocals) and Kristin Hosein (vocals). Leo said: "This will be a real honour and a great joy for this group of musicians to come together for a tour to celebrate the words and music of Van Morrison - I can’t wait.” The project has been endorsed by Van Morrison, who said: “These songs are meant to be sung and heard and I am really happy that Leo is carrying the torch.”
