One of Hampshire’s most accomplished chamber choirs will perform songs inspired by the joy of texts when they return to Petersfield later this month.

The Renaissance Choir will present its Song of Songs concert at St Peter’s on Saturday, October 25, with Peter Gambie conducting and Karen Kingsley on piano.

The group of 34 singers will perform choral music inspired by texts from the Song of Songs in a programme that takes the listener on a journey spanning several centuries.

There will be a special emphasis on works by the great Italian Renaissance composer Palestrina.

The show starts at 7.30pm with tickets £15 in advance from ticketsource via www.renaissancechoir.org.uk or £17 on the door, with £2 entry for under 25s.
