Froyle Village Hall is being spruced up ready for Village Halls Week, which will run from March 16 to 22.
Nick Whines, secretary of the charity running the Ryebridge Lane venue, said: “We are lucky enough to have a bright, welcoming village hall built 40 years ago thanks to an amazing community effort. We can accommodate 80 people for a sit-down meal.”
The hall is next to the recreation ground, which boasts picnic tables, a playground and wildlife areas.
Encouraging clubs, companies and individuals to use it, Mr Whines added: “It really is a wonderful place for parties, and children’s parties in particular.”
The hall is run by volunteers and Mr Whines looked ahead by appealing for more younger ones.
