FARNHAM woman Estelle Christmas will be hitting the small screen on Friday when she will be challenging quiz aces the Eggheads as part of a team called Bob’s Buddies.
Estelle (pictured) and her team will be flying the flag for Best Buddies, an organisation which aims to help individuals with learning disabilities and autism/aspergers to build their social networks and make new friends.
Eggheads is hosted by Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine on BBC2.
Estelle, who now lives in Farnham with her family, is director of services for the Kingwood charity based in Lower Early (Reading) which provides support for people with autism and aspergers.
She said: “Helping people who are on the autism spectrum build friendships and social networks can be crucial to their overall well-being and ability to lead inclusive lives within their local communities.”
Best Buddies UK is determined to help more people across the country establish links and progress more socially involved lifestyles where they choose.
