The fencing firm wants to fund a proposed relocation to an un-named site by selling its current two-acre home to a supermarket.
Supporters claim another supermarket will be good for the town by creating 200 jobs and giving shoppers more choice.
But some people are worried about the effect on existing trade, traffic and recent claims over 'hush money' being paid to neighbours.
