LIPHOOK dog breeder Angela Draper-Andrews went to Crufts with five Tibetan Terriers last week and came home with five wins.

A delighted Mrs Draper-Andrews told The Herald it had been a hectic but very rewarding weekend.

Special star in the Draper-Andrews house this week is Lasang Allo Vera, named after the Coronation Street star, who won the bitch challenge certificate Best Bitch, as well as first in the Limit Bitch competition.

Mrs Draper-Andrews' other wins were: first in the Yearling Bitch contest with Lasang Tilly Mint, second for the Junior Bitch with Lasang Chiquitita, second for yearling dog with Lasang Las Vegas and third in the Limit Dog section with Matsang Dirty Harry.

Mrs Draper-Andrews, who has been breeding and showing dogs since the l960s, has also judged most breeds for around 30 years and was recently asked to judge at Crufts itself, next year.

She showed at Crufts when it was held at Olympia, then Earls Court and now at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

She also breeds Burmese and Devon Rex cats and runs the Just Cats Boarding Cattery at Hollycombe.

"We are thrilled," said Mrs Draper-Andrews. "We took five dogs to the show and each one of them came home with a win."

Her outstanding success at Crufts this year follows on from last year when one of her animals won first reserve, best dog.
