THE sun came out in time for the 30th annual Farnham Duck Race last week
Stalls and entertainment filled Gostrey Meadow with plenty to see and do for all the crowds.
There were displays by local charities, coffee and cakes, burgers and hot dogs cooked by the Guides, music, slides and - for the first time - a boating lake and zorbing balls.
However, once the ducks started racing, all attention turned to the river, where families cheered on their ducks to win.
The first race was started by the mayor, John Ward, with another race set going by Scott Wood, managing director of the Farnham Herald.
The winning numbers were: A138, B138, C13, D134, E48, F48, G217, H217, I172,J172, K51, L51, M51, N71, O71, P71, Q196, R196, S196, T297, U297, V35.
Michael Buttler, of the Farnham Weyside Rotary Club, said: “The funds raised this year will benefit the Woodlarks Centre and other Rotary charities. Thanks are due to the sponsors, especially the Farnham Herald.”
