FORMER JAPANESE prisoner-of-war Edward Cox wept in his Petersfield home this week as he told how social services had left him on his own.

Mr Cox, aged 82 was a prisoner in the notorious Changi jail in Singapore and was forced to labour on the infamous Thailand railways for the rest of the war.
