MORE than 50 staff at Champney’s Forest Mere health spa took part in seven days of continuous exercises to raise nearly £400 in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust charity.
Organised and run by gym manager Tom Carringham, each participant completed an hour of exercise of either rowing, cycling, swimming or running. Tom said: “We had the whole resort taking part with people from various departments, including fitness, restaurant, spa, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, front of house, reception, as well as the manager, general manager and group general manager.
“It was a great team effort and everyone did an hour of exercise in their own time, as well as getting their own sponsors. We completed a total of 98 hours with participants ranging from age 17 to 50 plus. Cystic fibrosis is an invisible decease, but not invincible.”
