PIONEERING children’s health charity, The Sunflower Trust, has been awarded additional funds for 2017 to help disadvantaged families.

This charity, which is based in Guildford and runs a clinic in Alton, develops bespoke health and well-being programmes to address the needs of children with health, behaviour or learning difficulties.

Sunflower’s chief executive Nichola Atkinson said: “We believe that every child deserves to achieve their potential, regardless of wealth or background.

“In 2016, we helped more children than ever before with and can evidence fantastic results.

“We are proud to say, its success attracted some generous grants and we plan to use these to bring happiness and health to more local children in 2017.”
