FARNHAM Town Council is extending its support for local producers and makers by introducing handmade craft at the town’s monthly farmers’ market.

Blue Daisy, which sells handmade bags and fleece pet blankets made its first appearance at last month’s market and received positive feedback from shoppers.

Jill Hargreaves, the council’s lead member for tourism and events said: “The format of the farmers’ market works very well, and we believe it will be a winning formula for craft makers too. We would be delighted to hear from anybody who makes their own products and who is interested in attending the market.”

The April farmers’ market is on Sunday, April 22, from 10am to 1.30pm and will include a guest appearance from Bergamia Tea.

Farnham Rotary will be selling tickets for the duck race and The Ridgeway School will be hosting the charity tea tent.

The market is held in Central car park. There is no charge for Sunday parking in Waverley owned pay and display car parks.
