What a day! After two scaled-down events in 2020 and 2021, the Farnham Charity Ride got well and truly back in the saddle last Sunday.

More than 600 cyclists took part, taking on 16-, 25-, 50- and 75-mile routes through the Surrey and Hampshire countryside – with proceeds split between St Andrew’s Infant School and organisers Farnham Round Table. This year’s event was sponsored by ME Estate Agents.

There were many great individual stories on the day – just a scattering of which are featured on this page.

But special congratulations goes to Carolyn Wickham from St Andrew’s Infant School, who alongside Paralympian Rachel Morris, completed the 50-mile route – without an e-bike, after suffering a mechanical mishap on the eve of the ride.

The event was also supported by Afonso at The Bicycle Cave, who provided bike check-ups in Castle Street, countless volunteers including pupils at St Andrew’s at rest stops, Tootsies Day Nursery with flapjacks and brownies, and EF Sport Therapies for post-ride massages!
