MEMBERS of Farnham Lions Club have presented a cheque for £7,433 to help the Waverley Hoppa Community Transport service.
The service provides regular transport for disabled, vulnerable and elderly individuals, schools, day care centres and clinics plus shuttle buses for local community activities.
The Lions Club donation was raised from its annual golf day at Hindhead Golf Club (HGC). HGC captains Dickie Knight and Mary-Rose Seabourne had also chosen Hoppa as the charity to support during their tenure and raised a further £8,067 to bring the total to £15,500.
