FARNHAM students have excelled once again as A-level results continue to pour in, with boys overtaking girls nationally for the first time in over 10 years.
At 98 per cent Farnham College’s pass rate is once again above the national average, and the number of A-level candidates attaining A* to C grades came in at 80 per cent.
All Hallows Catholic School received a 100 per cent pass rate, with students excelling in subjects such as maths, physics, chemistry and biology.
Teachers are continuing to celebrate as results surpass those obtained in 2016, with 62 per cent of students receiving a A* to B grades and 87 per cent being awarded A* to C grades.
All but five All Hallows students, who are currently in clearing, received offers to university.
More House School, a day and boarding school for boys aged eight to 18 years old with learning difficulties in Frensham, also celebrated bumper results this year.
Ninety-seven per cent of the A Level and equivalent BTEC certificates awarded to More House pupils in this summer’s results were passes, with 74 per cent of grades at C or above.
Alongside these results 37 per cent of certificates were awarded at the highest A or A* and Distinction or Distinction* grades.
Frensham Heights students also celebrated outstanding results, with a six per cent increase on 2016 in students achieving A* to A grades at A-level.
Once again, Frensham Heights's mathematics results were exceptional with 70 per cent of students gaining A*-A.
There was great joy and excitement too at Farnborough Hill as nearly half of all the girls' results were at A* or A grades, with 90 per cent at the covetable A*-C which secures places at the top universities.
