Farnham’s new mayor has been fed by the Lions in one of his first official engagements.

More than 70 residents tucked into sandwiches, pastries and cakes last Sunday (May 17) as the Farnham Lions held their annual Tea Party at the Memorial Hall.

The volunteer-led event was a treat for many as some of the guests live alone, while candles were also blown as Chris Tuckwell celebrated his 90th birthday.

Newly-appointed mayor, Cllr Graham White, and mayoress, Judy White, spent the afternoon serving and talking to guests with the party including entertainment by Blazing Saddlers and a raffle.

“The Lions Tea Party is a great way of supporting members of our community,” said Farnham Lions President, Simon Moran Smith.
