Vote for Gostrey Meadow! Vote for Farnham’s cemeteries!

That’s the message from Farnham Town Council which is encouraging residents to cast their votes in the People’s Choice Top Ten parks competition run by Keep Britain Tidy. Voting closes at 5pm on October 31.

As open spaces with Green Flag accreditation, Gostrey Meadow and the cemeteries in West Street, Hale and Badshot Lea have been invited to enter the national contest for Britain’s best-loved green spaces.

Gostrey Meadow is central to much of Farnham’s community life from Music in the Meadow to the Christmas lights switch-on, while the cemeteries are havens for wildlife and for peace and contemplation.

Votes can be cast online and the link can be found at www.farnham.gov.uk.
