THE parents of missing Froxfield teenager Karen Mitchell have told of their relief after she contacted them to say she was safe and well. Karen, 17, was last seen on August 28, and police had become increasingly concerned for her welfare. But the news her parents had been so anxious for came on Tuesday, just hours after a police appeal was launched. Karen's father Colin said he had talked to his daughter, but still did not know her exact location. He said: "I'm relieved, happy and pleased. It certainly did give us a scare. "We are hopeful that Karen keeps to her promise and comes home as soon as possible."
